The step by step cleaning of your deck
When you take up the cleaning of your decks either with cleaners or with power washers, it is a part of the restoration process of the deck. Your sole aim is to revive the old glamour of the deck by removing harmful items and other blemishes. However, it may be useful for you to know the step by step systematic operation of your deck cleaning process with occasional use of plugging products here and there.
The first step for you in restoration of your deck would be to remove all grills and furniture from the deck. Once this is accomplished, remove the grease stains that are being caused by drips from the grill. You can scrub them out with some solution of remover and hot water. This is one of the most difficult tasks in the entire process of your maintenance and restoration of the deck.
Make a proportionate solution of deck cleaners and water and use it on the surface of the deck. You should use a brush or spray for this purpose. There are some wood cleaners that are not compatible with redwood. Hence you have to be quite careful about that.
These cleaners should be allowed to remain on top surface of the deck. for around twenty minute or so. Thereafter you can cleanse them with brush, spray or cloth. However, while using the power washer you must keep it moving and never point it directly to the deck or there could be scarring and wood stains. Later you can use sealers after the deck dries up.
