Selling Old Silver Coins From A Class Project

I never thought that when I was just ten years old and my teacher asked each of us students to start a collection for thirty days that it would lead to me selling old silver coins for thousands of dollars years later. For most of my classmates, I think that they did the normal rock collection, leaf collection and bug collection but I wanted to be different. I went to a store where they sell coins and asked the guy if I could clean his shop in exchange for a few coins.

I remember working every day after school with the guy who did sell coins and he gave me a tray of old coins at the end of those thirty days. I am sure that they were not worth anything back then, but over the years they have gained in value and now I stand to make a lot of money.

When my mother found out that my collection was worth more than she ever thought it could be, she told me how proud she was that I had held onto it for all this time. Selling old silver coins from a fifth grade classroom project is just priceless. I am so glad that I did not collect rocks.
