A New Kitchen to Stop my Moms mouth

I always hear my mom nagging every single day for the past year about her kitchen. The walls need new paint. The floor tiles are accumulating dirt. The cabinets are not all functioning well – the hinges – it’s old and rusty. The windows are creepy to look at. They’re disgusting. Every single day, that’s what I hear. If my count is correct, it’s been 327 days since she first complained about her poor kitchen.

One day, i just couldn’t stand it. I had to talk to my dad about her constant ear sore. We came to a solution: me and dad are giving up a small portion of our salaries just to hire a kitchen remodeling contractor to do the job. Good thing I searched the net and came across a wonderful crew; everything was measured and pre-ordered without my mom knowing.

When everything was ready for installation, dad “purposely” brought mom to Miami for a long weekend and I took over with the kitchen remodeling supervision. It was such a delight since I didn’t even notice that they were working inside our home. The crew are very professional and worked in a breeze. I really had no problems with them.

The day came, she got home and as usual, talking nonstop. I told her to get a package someone left for her at the kitchen. She was still blabbing about her travel – I didn’t listen one bit. And when she entered the room, her mouth stopped. We hurried to her and her face was like in utter disbelief. She said: Is this a dream? Am I in heaven? I couldn’t stop laughing.
