What is laser assisted liposuction?
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007This is the latest technique in liposuction procedure. As a part of this technique laser rays are used to remove fat during liposuction. Both the techniques used in liposuction procedure that is laser assisted has received an FDA approval in 2006. In fact laser assisted techniques are now being used by liposuction surgeons who are keen to do advanced liposuction techniques as this allows for a much smoother operation that is also minimally invasive.
One of this techniques uses Erchonia Neira 4 L while doing a liposuction procediure. In this procedure the liposuction surgeon produces a low-level, or cold, output that has no thermal effect on the body’s tissue. However, this is rather a new technology and very few surgeons are actually using it.
This technique is a superb technique in liposuction procedure. This is because while using this technique that patent does not feel the heat nor sensation from the laser’s application. This is because this technique is designed to liquefy fat without affecting the tissues surrounding it. SmartLipo is another laster technique used by the liposuction surgeon. In this the surgeon uses the cannula tipped with a diode laser emitter through which a fiber is inserted through a small incision. This fiber then manages to deliver energy directly to subcutaneous fat cells; this energy when delivered causes the fat cells to rupture and hence liquefy. Thus in this liposuction procedure you finally manage to reduce fat.
