Power Washing The Sidewalks Was Smart

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

I do not know which company did the concrete cleaning downtown, but I have never seen the sidewalks look so good. There is no more irrigation rust, or gum anywhere on them now and that seemed to be what they were made of before. The color is shockingly not orange with black spots. I am glad that they finally did it though, but keeping them clean may be a difficult thing to do too.

I remember when we had our deck power washing done last year and then my husband spilled a big can of white paint on it. It looked good for about two months and now it looks horrible. We do not have the money to pay to have the power washing company come out again until next spring so we just have to live with it until then.

I would think that the city will work in a concrete cleaning every few years now that they see how nice it can look. I hope that they never let it get as bad as it was before. They need to maintain, and then the cleanings will probably not cost them as much either. This first cleaning must have cost them a fortune, because it was not a quick fix.

I Got Three New Gucci Handbags

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

I was shopping with my sister online for our grandmother’s birthday gift and ended up spending quite a bit of money on myself. We stumbled upon a website that sold Gucci handbags and Prada shoes. I do not know how when you type in senior birthday gifts, it brings up Gucci and Prada but I am glad it did.

I bought three new Gucci handbags and one pair of the finest Prada shoes that you have ever seen. I thought about buying a pair of Prada shoes for my sister, but she said that she did not like any of them. That shows you how completely opposite we are, I could have bought every pair that was for sale, and she did not like any of them.

After spending all that money on myself, I did not have a lot left to put towards grandmothers gift but we found a nice new massage chair that we figured she would like. My sister and I split the cost of the massage chair and put both of our names on the card. She loved it, and uses it every day after doing her morning workout.

I got my goodies in the mail about four days after I ordered them, and wore the Prada shoes and one of the Gucci handbags to my grandmother’s birthday party. She even commented on how nice my shoes were.

Advantage of Replacement Windows and the Energy Tax Rebate

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

I could not believe what I was seeing one day when my neighbors were having replacement windows put in. I had never seen them do anything to the house since they moved in about ten years ago. I walked over and asked the contractor how long it was going to take to put in all of the new replacement windows.

He explained that it would probably only take a couple of days. I asked him if the homeowner was home and he said that she was out. I told him that I was happy to see how the house was looking. He said that the homeowner only decided to have the replacement windows put in when she learned of the energy tax rebate that was being offered by the government.

I had never heard of it so I had him explain it to me. I figured that I had taken up enough of his time and walked back home. The company was back the next day to finish up and I saw my neighbor out walking her dog. I stopped her and told her how nice the house was coming along. She thanked me for noticing all the work she was having done. I told her that the contractor had explained the energy tax credit to me and that it was a great thing to take advantage of.
